Bryn Adams of Highland Park Fish Camp on the St. Johns River south of Astor says crappie fishing has been excellent on Lake Woodruff, a backwater off the river there. Fish over 2 pounds have been caught in recent days with slow trolled jigs and minnows most productive. Bass fishing is poor.
