In our area, the bass fishing was much better for schoolie bass up to about 15 lbs. These bass were under birds and spread out from Fire Island Inlet south to the Shrewsbury Rocks. In certain areas, these bass were very small from 18-22 inches and no keeper bass of 28 inches or over were in the mix.
