On the local fishing scene, the bass action continues to improve. Most fishermen are catching from five to 20 bass per day. Mike Rothstein of Lakeport fished with a friend Sunday and boated more than 20 bass. Rothstein said they caught most of their fish on shaky head jigs rigged with a plastic worm.
